The Beaufort Family (originally known as the Bellofortis Family) is a French family that traces it's lineage to a time shortly after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. Formerly a family composed of Magicians, the Beauforts were well respected within the magical community for their reputation as skilled mages and ambassadors.

Summary

Established shortly after the fall of the Western Roman Empire by Gallic landowners and mages, the Beaufort family rose to prominence in early medieval Europe. Known for producing skilled magicians, as well as ambassadors for the magical community, they became well respected amongst their peers. Over time, the family begun to grow in size, with more and more branches splitting away from the original and forgetting their magical heritage. Eventually a cataclysm claimed the original core family, leaving behind only the mundane lineages. To this day, nearly all living members of the family are unaware of their family's magical origins.

Notes

  • Out of universe you can thank Valerie for this family existing.
  • Stephanie, and Orion to a lesser extent are the only living members currently aware of their family's magical heritage.
  • Many members of the Beaufort family think Ken killed Monica due to them having apparent marital problems before her death, this belief is not entirely untrue, but is formed from their lack of context of Ken and Monica's relationship (including their lack of marriage).
