Equinox (Age Unknown) is a Witch and member of the newly reformed Witches of Ystawingun, occupying the 5th seat in the hierarchy, she acts as the coven's primary Seer.
Personality & Appearance
Personality
Equinox is an aloof and cryptic being who speaks in riddles and questions, and seemingly has no real knowledge of how human social customs work. Due to how she approaches conversations, it can appear at times that she has no interest in them, although when addressed she seemingly always possesses an answer - whether that is appropriate or not.
She apparently has no issues with fighting people or violence, as when presented with the possibility of being Omnius's enemy, she simply asked if he wanted to fight her.
She appears to have a fondness for the moon and deer.
Appearance
Equinox takes the appearance of a young woman with long black hair with magenta highlights. She typically keeps her eyes closed, hiding them behind an ornate blindfold.
When open, Equinox's eyes paradoxically appear open, closed, present, and not present at the same time, as well as appearing both completely normal and unnatural.
Summary
Equinox's Witch Mark was among those present when Thiton summoned the coven to discuss their next steps after Yvonne de Montauban became the next Blood Knight[1].
When Selene Whateley contacted the Coven to inform them of the progress of their plans in Sanctuary City, Equinox was present[2].
Just before the Anarch attempt to sink Futures Tower, Equinox foresaw Omnius's future adventure within The Hollows and ordered her servant Dahut to welcome him to her sanctuary. After Omnius fought the ghouls within the tunnels, he was brought before Equinox, who spoke to him, calling him "Kenson", and asking him several questions about his desires and wishes before making a prophecy that stated the Coven's plans would happen. As "payment" for the conversation, she teleported him back to the tower[3].
Powers & Abilities
- Magic: As a Witch, Equinox is well-versed in the mystic arts, and is capable of using it for a variety of purposes
- Teleportation: Equinox is able to teleport herself (and others) through magic
- Unknown Physiology: Equinox is not human, and is instead some unknown being, granting her abilities many would consider supernatural
- Adaptive Power Level: Equinox is unable to use her full power at any point, having been bound by an unknown covenant, and is only able to call upon an equivalent level of power as the being she's opposing.
- Prophecy: Equinox is able to look into the future and see how things will pass.
- Cosmic Awareness: Equinox possesses an unknown level of Cosmic Awareness, granting her knowledge of things others wouldn't consider possible for her (such as Omnius's identity, and Stephanie Thompson's role as Sorcerer Supreme).
