Asteria Thompson (Date of birth unknown) is the third and final child of Ken Thompson and Monica Beaufort. She was created by Ken on his own using stored DNA samples in an attempt to make a "better child" than his other two children.

Summary

Asteria Thompson is the third and final child of Ken Thompson and Monica Beaufort. She was created years after Monica's death, unbeknownst to Orion and Stephanie. He decided to make his final child female as well, perhaps out of some strange sense of humor Ken has. Or perhaps in order to prove that a woman can only excel if a man allows her to. Either way, Asteria is the result.

Despite her relatively recent birth, Asteria is physically, mentally and emotionally in her early to mid 20s. Thanks to the wonders of technology, Ken was able to keep her mind connected to a simulated world where extreme time dilation allowed her to experience over two decades of life in what was actually only a handful of years.
