Ramona Carter, also known as Moronoe (born August 4, 1992), is a human Witch from Earth-0, by virtue of being fully aware of all her previous incarnations, she is the oldest living member of Mother of the Night's original Coven, and the de-jure leader through seniority.

Personality & Appearance

Summary

Moronoe was a member of the Witches of Ystawingun, and was the blood sister of the Mother of the Night, she was the second eldest member of the coven after her sister. When Peredur, purged the Coven, Moronoe was one of the only two survivors, splitting off from Thiton in an attempt to achieve her own revenge, ultimately taking up the title of "Theomacha" and being defeated by Saint Samson of Dol.

Moronoe's death was not the end, however, as she possessed the ability to retain her memories and consciousness after death, granting her an odd form of immortality that ensured that she would not die over the years, and was reborn many times over, each time gaining more knowledge and power.

At some point in the 1700s, Thiton drew a painting of the original Witches of Ystawingun, including Moronoe[1].

Over a millennium after her first death, Moronoe was reborn as Ramona Carter, a girl from a minor American mage family. It was during this life that she was rediscovered by Thiton, who granted her de jure control over the Coven upon her reaching adulthood. Despite this, due to her apparently fractured mental state, Thiton acts as the de facto leader of the Coven still.

Powers & Abilities

  • Magic - As a Witch, Ramona has been posseses great knowledge of Magic, and is capable of using it for a variety of purposes.
    • Psionics - Ramona specialises in magic dealing with thought and thinking, and as such has impressive psionic abilities.
  • Fae Physiology (Moronoe) - Moronoe was a half-fae, granting her various powers and enchantments outside of her magical abilities.

Notes

  • As an individual possessing great wisdom and knowledge from an unknown enlightenment, as well as complete memories of her past life, Ramona is similar to the concept of a Bodhisattva.
  • As with all of the members of the Mother of the Night's Coven, Ramona possesses a mark to represent her when required.

Etymology

  • Ramona is name of Spanish origin meaning "Wise Protector"
  • Pallas is an epithet given to Athena
  • Carter is a Celtic family name meaning "transport goods by cart".
  • Theomacha is an Ancient Greek word meaning "Enemy of God".
