Raiko Sameda (鮫田雷子) (born August 15, 2000), also known as Monsoon or Mistral, is a Japanese-American Para-Human and a member of The Sentinels.

Personality & Appearance

As a result of neglect and pressure from her parents, Raiko pushes herself to excel in every possible way, often leading her to acting as a bully to other students she sees as below herself in order to vent her anger and frustration.

Despite this behaviour, however, Raiko has a a heroic streak under the surface, seeking to emulate the famous heroes that she worships, often in a hot-headed and reckless manner.

Summary

Raiko is a student at Transformations Academy, a private school owned by the Long Corporation, alongside Kei. Both of Raiko's parents are employees at Long Corporation, with her father holding an executive position, making her a prime candidate, and only successful, for Project Sundowner, a program designed to develop Para-Human Weather Control abilities within select candidates. After successful completion of the project, Raiko was drafted into Long's Powered Emergency Aid and Response Line-up, alongside the likes of Sage and Amp, with the codename Mistral.

• Raiko (雷子) is a Japanese name made up of the characters 雷 meaning "Thunder" and 子 meaning "child, junior, or small thing"
