PEARL (Long Corporation)
The Powered Emergency Aid and Response Line-up, or PEARL, is a division of Long Corporation designed to handle security threats that cannot be dealt with by regular security officers, as well as provide disaster relief services when required.
Summary
PEARL is division of Long Corporation entirely made up of Meta-Humans and Para-Humans within Long's employee, it is officially designed to act as an emergency response division for scenarios that regular corporate security cannot handle before an MRD response team can arrive. Members of PEARL are deputized by the MRD, allowing to act as law enforcement agents until the MRD arrives on the scene, and are provided with a direct line to the MRD.[1]
In response to Star and Moon's attack on the Long Corporation Headquarters in Chicago, PEARL was activated to apprehend the two teenage Para-Humans, with Sage and Amp being sent to the scene as the first response unit. After encountering resistance from Cardinal, Kuiper, Faraday, and S.E.A.R.C.H., the pair were forced to let the teenagers get away, with Sage warning Cardinal in particular that there would be repercussions for the group's actions.[1]
