The Multiverse is the current iteration of all realities.
History
The Multiverse is the most recent and current iteration of the setting. It was predated by at least four other versions of itself, and has existed for googols of years.
As a joint creation of the IsoMatrices the Multiverse contains everything that is, and everything that isn't. Without them, it would cease to exist.

Kalpas
A kalpa is a cycle of rebirth and death that many realities within The Multiverse experience. Often times an individual reality will have a finite lifespan, and will eventually reach it's end. Whether it be from heat death, a big rip, or something else, the universe will die and be reborn anew. This cycle does not occur to every reality in the Multiverse, however many do experience it. Most notably the various universes containing an Earth.
It is important to note that this is a natural process separate from the multiverse spanning incidents that created the different iterations of The Multiverse.
