Morgan le Fay, also known as The Mother of the Night, is an ancient Witch from Earth-0. She is the elder sister of Moronoe, the half-sister of King Arthur, and the mother of various children. She was the first leader of the Witches of Ystawingun, and is currently trapped in a interdimensional prison created by the Crystal of Earth-0.

Personality & Appearance

Summary

Morgan le Fay was the original leader of the Nine Witches of Ystawingun, as well as the eldest and most powerful member of the coven. At some point, she became a serious threat to the stability of Earth-0, and as such was removed from the universe by its Crystal. In the aftermath of her disappearance, her Coven was wiped out by the knight Peredur, with the only surviving members being her sister Moronoe, and the youngest member of the Coven, Thiton.

Long after Morgan's disappearance, Thiton learnt of the circumstances of her imprisonment, and vowed to free her[1].

At some point, Thiton painted the original Witches of Ystawingun, with Morgan taking a prominent role within the painting as their leader[1].

Powers & Abilities

  • Magic - As a Witch, Morgan was adept at magic, possessing enough mastery of over the mystic arts to be considered a threat by the Crystal.
  • Fae Physiology - Morgan is half-fae, granting her various powers and enchantments outside of her magical abilities.

Notes

  • Morgan le Fay is a character from Arthurian legend with various interpretations and portrayals, who is often credited as an apprentice (and possible lover of) the wizard Merlin.
