Aiden Ethan Grayson is a Meta-Human | Para-Human hybrid, and Magician - currently living in Sanctuary City. He is the CEO of Archeon Incorporated and the son of its founder, Silas Grayson. His vigilante identity is known as Mosaic, (formerly Gradient).

Summary

Early Life

Born in New York City, Aiden is the son of Dr. Silas Grayson - a researcher and entrepreneur. Despite his public origins, Aiden is a genetically engineered human. He was created through the genomic research done by his grandfather - Dr. Amadeus Grayson.

Aiden lived a relatively normal life for most of his early childhood, though later on in his life Aiden was forced to move to the West Coast after an attack on New York City.

He would then spend the next decade of his life improving his own skills and knowledge base - before eventually pursuing a degree in medicine.

Mosaic

After graduating with his M.D., Aiden was then called by his father with a surprising request - to succeed him as CEO of Archeon.

Soon after he moved to Sanctuary City and assumed his position as Archeon's CEO, Aiden began hearing offhand rumors surrounding missing Meta-Humans.

In addition to the disappearances, criminal groups started to increase their activity around the city.

As part of an effort to make a difference, Aiden decided to become a vigilante of sorts - using his powers to help people whenever he could.

After preparing himself, Aiden then became the vigilante Gradient.

Later, he changed his name to Mosaic - after he fully manifested his powers.

Power Matrix

As the Prime Universe incarnation of the Power IsoMatrix, Aiden has various abilities related to "Power" - the ability to "do" anything.

He can amplify his own abilities or reproduce the abilities of others that he encounters - seemingly without limit.

Aiden's strength was also great enough to even overwhelm his sister's, during their first real fight.^[1]

Mosaic DNA

Like his father and siblings, Aiden has a unique blend of DNA known as Mosaic DNA - the result of his latent "Power" based abilities.

The structure of Mosaic DNA allows Aiden to instantaneously re-sequence his DNA, allowing him to permanently mimic Meta-Gene abilities.

Psionics

Due to his nature, Aiden has high levels of psionic power - making him adept at psionics.

Dynamic Mimicry

The combination of Aiden's Power Matrix and his Mosaic DNA allows him to mimic the powers of beings who aren't Meta-Humans.

Thaumaturgy Ring

After being severely weakened in his battle with Faust, Magister provided Aiden support in the form of the Thaumaturgy Ring.^[5]

Thaumaturgy Armor

Mosaic's current armor is a fusion of both his original tech outfit and the magitek he later acquired.

Skills

Magic

As a result of his training with his alternate universe counterpart, Aiden has enough magical power to become a Magician.

While nowhere near as proficient as a Sorcerer Supreme, Mosaic is still incredibly powerful, and capable of various magical feats through spell casting.

Aiden has a tendency to use passive spells in combat, such as energy shielding.

He also occasionally relies on utility spells, such as astral projection - if he needs to perform reconnaissance.

Combat Training

Partially due to his abilities, Aiden is a master of close quarters combat or CQC.

He also has knowledge of various forms of martial arts - due to his ability to travel the world and learn from various combat instructors.

Engineering Training

A result of his psionic knowledge absorption - Aiden has a robust reserve of engineering knowledge and skill.

Aiden is an expert mechanic and engineer by experience - but not through formal training. He has worked to repair various forms of sophisticated machinery.

Physician Training

Although not having completed residency fully - Aiden is an accomplished medical physician with an early M.D. in the field.

He also has experience with surgery and differential diagnosis assessments of patients.

Should he ever need to treat a person of their illnesses - he can so that rather effectively.

Notes

Aiden's favorite genre of music is Industrial Rock, much like his Sorcerer Supreme Counterpart.
- Aiden's hair was originally midnight black - only becoming white due to prolonged exposure to Magic.
- He also now regularly wears black sunglasses - slowly becoming a mirror image of his magical counterpart.
Aiden's favorite food is pizza, though generally without many toppings.
Aiden has experience with multiple forms of martial arts combat.
Aiden had an obvious attraction to Hiyuki Hoyokazi that everyone is aware of.
