The Current Thaumaturgy Armor

Aiden Ethan Grayson is a Meta-Human | Para-Human hybrid, and a Magician - currently living in Sanctuary City. He is the CEO of Archeon Incorporated and the son of its founder, Silas Grayson. His vigilante identity is known as Mosaic, (formerly Gradient). Since his first appearance, Mosaic has become one of the most recognizable and powerful vigilantes in Sanctuary City's history.

Summary

Early Life

Born in New York City, Aiden is the son of Dr. Silas Grayson - a researcher and entrepreneur, and the founder of Archeon Incorporated - one of the largest technology corporations on the planet. Originally believed to have experienced a normal birth, Aiden is in fact a genetically engineered human. Created as the result of research taken from his grandfather - Dr. Amadeus Grayson.

Created by his father Silas in the mid 90s, alongside his triplet siblings - Phoebe and Jonah; Aiden lived a relatively normal life, experiencing an upbringing common amongst wealthy families. He had a good relationship with his triplet siblings, as well as his older siblings - Kira and Jason (who were naturally born by comparison).

Aiden was forced to move to the West Coast with his family after an attack in NYC by Providence, the Meta-Human radical, and his organization. He would then spend the next decade of his life improving his own skills and knowledge base - before pursuing a degree in medicine.

Mosaic

Soon after he moved to Sanctuary City, Aiden began seeing reports of kidnappings involving Meta-Humans, usually from destitute backgrounds. In addition, reports of crime from Meta-Human groups like the Brigadiers began to gradually rise in frequency. Eventually, the active crime rate of Sanctuary City's superpowered groups became large enough to begin jeopardizing the safety of Archeon's employees, as well as regular civilians. This was in conjunction with the reported increases in kidnappings that were also reported on.

Deciding to make a difference in his own, "unconventional" way, Aiden began formulating a plan. Years earlier, a meteorite pod had crash landed into an open site nearby Aiden's family home on the West Coast; a pod that would later be catalogued as one of four mysterious pods. These technological pods held inside advanced technology and equipment - all of which he could now utilize.

With assistance from his older sister, Kira - an accomplished engineer and inventor; Aiden soon began development of the vehicles, tools and general equipment that he would need in order to realize his plan. Soon afterwards, he became the vigilante Gradient - before later changing his name to Mosaic; once his powers fully manifested.

Current Activity

Aiden continues to run Archeon Incorporated within Sanctuary City. He also still patrols the city as Mosaic, attempting to stop Meta-Human and Human crimes as effectively as he can.

Power Matrix

As the Incarnation of the Power IsoMatrix, Aiden has various abilities related to the notional framing of "Power" - the capacity to "do" something.

Power Mimicry

Aiden can permanently mimic various characteristics found within beings in his immediate proximity. Everything from abilities and skills to memories and traits can be reproduced at will through his power.

The general range for Aiden's proximity is around 30 cubic meters.

Power Amplification

Using his nature as the Power IsoMatrix's Avatar - Aiden can drastically amplify the scale and effectiveness of any characteristic that he mimics.

Mosaic DNA

Like his father and siblings, Aiden has a unique blend of DNA known as Mosaic DNA - the result of three distinct forces connecting their abilities.

It allows Aiden to re-sequence his DNA in order to permanently mimic Meta-Gene expressions and their resulting abilities through proximity alone.

Due to the sheer range of his mimicry abilities, Aiden has met countless numbers of Meta-Humans, each with their own unique Meta-Gene abilities.

These Meta-Gene abilities can be permanently mimicked and stacked by Aiden's Mosaic DNA - merging, and leading to powerful combination abilities.

• Supernatural Physiology
  • Supernatural Strength
    • Aiden is physically stronger than most Meta-Humans on the planet, due to the stacking nature of his various Meta-Human abilities.
    • His level of raw physical strength exceeds even that of Hyperia's - allowing him to disable her in a fight with a single gut punch.
  • Supernatural Speed
    • Much like with his strength, Aiden is much faster than the average Meta-Human. He greatly exceeds Mach 5, making his baseline speed greater than hypersonic levels.
  • Supernatural Senses
    • Through his various perception and sensory abilities, Aiden has a level of Extra-Sensory Perception or ESP that borders on precognition.
      • This allows him to scope out an area intuitively and without issues.
  • Supernatural Durability
    • Aiden is exceptionally tough as a Meta-Human, again stacking various different abilities to reinforce his body from physical attacks, and redirect them in the form of kinetic energy.
  • Supernatural Equilibrium
    • Utilizing various different psionic and perceptive abilities, Aiden has the ability to properly balance himself on any point or surface without issue.
  • Supernatural Agility
    • Through countless morphological abilities, Aiden's physiology has become altered and refined to the point of giving him coordinative and movement capabilities beyond that of even high level gymnasts.
  • Supernatural Stamina
    • Aiden's body, thanks to a series of Meta-Gene expressions, has undergone various biochemical changes that greatly increase the efficiency of energy production in his muscles.
    • Because of this, Aiden doesn't generate acidic compounds in his muscles anymore - meaning he does not develop muscle strain or fatigue through exertion of energy in his body during work.
• Threat Sense
  • An ability that Aiden has, which lets him sense potential threats before they arrive.
  • It uses probability functions and energy signatures to denote said threats and measure the scale of each potential threat before it manifests in the area.
  • The overall ability is in actuality a mixture of various psionic abilities.
    • These abilities all stacked and eventually merged into the Threat Sense ability that Aiden has now.
• Telekinesis
  • Possibly his favorite ability - also magnified and modified through various stacking effects; each involving Meta-Genes with different variations of Telekinetic abilities.
    • Aiden has precise telekinetic ability, allowing for a degree of dexterity that is generally unseen with Meta-Humans.
    • His raw telekinetic strength is also immense - potentially reaching levels only seen by his friend, Orion.

Dynamic Mimicry

The combination of Aiden's Power Matrix and his Mosaic DNA allows him to mimic the powers of beings who aren't Meta-Humans.

Equipment

Thaumaturgy Ring

After being severely weakened in his battle with Faust, Magister provided Aiden with a remedy in the form of the Thaumaturgy Ring. This ring is a fusion of the 10 Specter Rings initially created by the Thaumians and weaponized by Iblis.

The ring has been enchanted by Magister to only function with Mosaic's spirit. It grants him incredible magical and supernatural abilities - aiding him in the redevelopment of his powers and abilities.

Thaumaturgy Armor

Mosaic's current armor is a fusion of both his original Nanotech Costume and the Magitek Armor of the Thaumaturgy Ring.

The armor has the original functions of the Nanotech Costume now integrated into its design. This allows for synaptic interfacing with Mosaic's vehicles - The Aurora and The Manifold.

The Thaumaturgy armor also has a significant resistance to both energy and magic based attacks.

Enchantments to the armor also provide reinforced protection against blunt force and high pressure attacks in addition to magical barriers.

Skills

Magic

Due to the Thaumaturgy Ring's Magicka and Psionis functions, Mosaic has the Magical Energy and the Magical Knowledge of the Thaumians - enough to become a Magician.

While nowhere near as proficient as a Sorcerer Supreme, Mosaic is still incredibly powerful, and capable of various magical feats through spell casting.

Combat Training

Partially due to his abilities, Aiden is a master of close quarters combat or CQC.

He also has knowledge of various forms of martial arts - due to his ability to travel the world and learn from various combat instructors.

Engineering Training

A result of his psionic knowledge absorption - Aiden has a robust amount of knowledge and skill involving the development and maintenance of various forms of machinery.

Aiden is an expert mechanic and engineer by experience - but not through formal training. He has worked to repair various forms of sophisticated electronics - from advanced automaton robots to complex battle tank machines.

Physician Training

Although not having completed residency fully - Aiden is an accomplished medical physician with an early M.D. in the field.

As such, Aiden has an extensive knowledge of biochemistry, genetics, immunology, virology, pathology, chemistry, human anatomy and human physiology.

He also has experience with surgery and differential diagnosis assessments of patients.

Should he ever need to treat a person of their complications - he can do that rather effectively.

• Aiden's favorite genre of music is Industrial Rock, much like his Sorcerer Supreme Counterpart.
• Aiden's favorite food is pizza, though generally without many toppings.
• He once found himself locked inside of a broom closet as a child, thanks to his sister Phoebe.
  • Using a coat hanger, Aiden finessed an impromptu lock pick to escape - becoming the first instance of him learning to think outside of the box.
• Aiden has experience with multiple forms of martial arts combat.
  • This is how Aiden overpowered Ryozo during their first encounter, before Ryozo's cousin ultimately stopped the Hoyokazi warrior.
• Aiden has an obvious attraction to Hiyuki Hoyokazi that everyone is aware of.
  • This mirrors the dynamic that Aiden's father had with Hiyuki's mother - before they had a falling out due to personal differences.
