The Sanctums

The Sanctums are a series of magical realities created by the Crystals, and inhabited by the Sorcerers Supreme.

Description

Creations of the Crystals, each Sanctum serves as both a protective shell for it's creator, as well as a home and base for it's chosen Sorcerer Supreme. Just like their creators, each sanctum is based off the template of the original - the Axiom.

Tethered to most versions of the Earth, the Sanctums are a series of realities created by, and serving as individual nexuses of Magic. While the Sanctums are infinite in size and essentially a malleable sandbox to their inhabitants, they do tend to have a specific layout when left unmodified. Typically, this layout prioritizes the defense of the Crystals by leaving them within the central core of the Sanctum. Outside of this, typically serves what acts as a home and place of work for the Sorcerer Supreme. Containing everything from a living space, to a library of essentially infinite books, observation decks and even storage and display of various items and artifacts. Thanks to the nature of the Sanctums however, this is all entirely subject to change at the whims of it's inhabitants. No configuration, no matter how odd and seemingly illogical is off limits. To the point where even the flow of time itself may be altered in relation to other worlds, allowing an up and coming Sorcerer Supreme to gain more training in a shorter amount of time relative to places like the Earth.

The Axiom

The Axiom is the original Sanctum, and the template for all others. It serves as the home of the Sorcerers Supreme of Earth-0, being unique in that it is home to two Sorcerers Supreme. It also serves as the container of the original Crystal.

Notes

• Do not ask the Sanctums where the Crystals were on September 11th, 2001. They aren't alive so they both do not know and cannot answer.
• Typically when an inhabitant wants the layout of the Sanctum to change, they simply need to think of it, and the Crystal will alter things to suit their desire.
• The Sanctums have highly potent built in defenses, which are capable of warding off most threats without the resident Sorcerer Supreme needing to get involved.
• Not every version of the Earth has a Sanctum tied to it. Reasons for this vary.
