The Ratti Crime Family was a highly organized criminal society and organized crime group based out of Sanctuary City.
Summary
Originally a member of the New York Families, where its primary rival was the Vitale Family, the Ratti Crime Family broke away to establish itself in Sanctuary City, becoming the most powerful criminal organization in the early days of the city. During this period, the family was led by Charles Ratti, otherwise known as the "Rat King" or the "Rat King of the Docks" due to the organization's prominence and primary territory being out of the Sanctuary City Docks. Eventually, the organization tried to expand its territory into "Meta-Town", one of the largest Meta-Human population centres within the city at the time, bringing it into conflict with the Crimson Tide. Neither organization would ultimately survive the conflict, but the Crimson Tide was considered the winner due to its reformation under Pandion - a man originally from the Vitale Family.
Many members of the Ratti Crime Family would be brought into the fold of the Crimson Tide, with some prominent members, such as Charles Ratti, being allowed to retire instead in a surprising act of mercy.
