Anna Aphrodite Kokkinos (born February 14, 2001) is a British Meta-Human and Mage from Earth-0.

Summary

Anna is one of several Meta-Human children kidnapped by Project: M at a young age, due to being flagged as having Psionic potential, Anna was assigned to Northern Cross, where she was trained to use her abilities and experimented on in an attempt to improve her physical abilities. In 2009, the Project: M site that Anna was kept at was attacked by Sophia Kokkinos, who destroyed the facility and took Anna in as her adoptive daughter.

Having no biological children, Sophia declared Anna the heir of the Kokkinos Family, and began training her in the family's Magic and Alchemy. Outwardly, the two had a very loving relationship, although due to Anna's position as Sophia's heir, Sophia put a lot of expectations on her daughter.

For reasons unknown to Anna, Sophia changed in September 2017, becoming incredibly obssessive and isolated. When Anna attempted to confront her adoptive mother about her new behavior, Sophia attempted to kill and sacrifice Anna in a ritual, causing Anna to run away from home. Now homeless, Anna had little choice to keep moving from place to place thanks to her adoptive mother still hunting her down.

• Magic: As the daughter of the family head of a Mage family, Anna has been taught some magic, although she has little knowledge of it besides the basics.
• Alchemy: As the heir presumptive to the Kokkinos Family, Anna has been trained in the ways of alchemy, and is able to perform a variety of alchemical processes. She is still at an early stage of her training, however, and has not even entered the Nigredo stage.

• Aphrodite was a character introduced in CQC with the ability to induce the feeling of love for the person in front of whoever she touched who was on the run from a mysterious organization.
  • Aphrodite would later appear as a member of OLYMPUS in Mosaic, where she would be established as the younger sister of Apollo.
  • This status quo for Aphrodite would be maintained in Simulacrum 1.0, where her power would be changed to the ability to utilise energies from esoteric dimensions at will.
• Anna's Project: M file number is a reference to the specific project she was under (Northern Cross) and the date of her debut in CQC (March 13, 2017).

Etymology

• Anna is a given name derived from the Hebrew name Hannah that means "favour" or "grace"
• Kokkinos (Greek: Κόκκινος) is a Greek family name that means "Red"
  • Rubedo, or "red", is the final stage of the alchemical Magnum opus process.
• Aphrodite is the Ancient Greek Goddess of Love.
• Psion is a generic term for an individual with psionic powers.
  • The codename is also a reference to the term "Scion", as the two are homophones (as the heir to the Kokkinos Family, Anna is most accurately described as a scion of the family)
