Rowena McGowall (born between March 20 1990 and April 20 1990), is a Meta-Human from Earth-0. Despite having a Scottish name, and coming from Scotland, she has a standard American accent.

Most of the time, at least.

Summary

The eldest daughter of a decorated soldier and a member of embassy staff, Rowena hails from Scotland, but spent most of her early life living in Washington, D.C.

Born with a degenerative Meta-Gene, Rowena was given a lifespan of a few weeks at most, but managed to survive thanks to an experimental and invasive procedure which left her with power she was unable to control as a young child. This early degenerative condition affected the development of her body, however, leading to effects such as her being unable to produce pigment cells for her hair, leaving her with white hair her entire life.

In 1995, Rowena burned down a barn accidentally, causing her to worry about what her father would do to her.

In 2017, Ardelle mentioned to Albert that she once had a friend with a similar lack of control over her own power.

Powers & Abilities

• Reactive Adaptation:
  • Rowena's core ability is the ability to adapt to real (or perceived) threats, generating a new power to counteract the threat if she does not possess one already, Rowena's current powers include:
    • Telepathic Immunity - Rowena lacks a true mind to be accessed, meaning that she cannot be read telepathically (although a sufficiently powerful telepath would be able to create a mind for her). The effects of this lack of a mind have yet to be fully documented.
    • Time Stopping - Rowena is capable of stopping time for an undisclosed amount of time, and is capable of moving in her own stopped time.
    • Umbrakinesis - Rowena is capable of manipulating shadows, twisting them and using them in ways that they would typically not be able to be used (such as for attacks and defences)
    • Pyrokinesis - Rowena is capable of manipulating fire and flame, producing it from her own body when none is already present, the flames she produces are capable of reaching incredibly high temperatures, with her being able ro create a miniature sun if necessary.
    • Enhanced Agility - Rowena possesses a level of agility far beyond a regular human.
    • Kinetic Energy Absorption - Rowena is able to absorb kinetic energy directed against her and redirect it elsewhere.
    • Shapeshifting - Rowena is able to shapeshift. Any form (besides her own "default" form) she takes, however, must be actively maintained, meaning that this ability causes stress on her body and drains her quickly - the speed at which this happens depends on the difference between her own form and the other form.
    • Enhanced Intelligence - Rowena possesses an enhanced intelligence.
    • Emotion Inducement - Rowena is capable of inducing emotions within people with a touch.
    • Technokinesis/Technopathy - Rowena can link with, understand, and manipulate technology.
    • Ergokinetic Cloning - Rowena can create a clone of herself out of energy that she absorbs. Due to the energy required for this, Rowena cannot maintain a clone of herself with all of her powers for longer than a few seconds. A clone with only one (or none) of her powers, however, can be maintained for a much longer period of time.
    • Enhanced Cleaving - Rowena can see fault lines in objects, giving her the ability to see the perfect spots for cutting them.
    • Healing Factor - Rowena possesses an incredibly effective healing factor, capable of restoring her from even a single atom. This healing factor has also given her what is essentially immortality, far beyond the level of what a Meta-Human would typically possess.
• Savate - Rowena is a master of Savate, or French kickboxing.
