Seems friendly, like you could have a beer with it.

The Tree was a psionic being with a penchant for corrupting people.

Summary

The Tree was native to the Astral Plane.

At some point after his mother's death, The Tree contacted Renaud Beaufort through his dreams, convincing him that he would be able to bring her back if he killed his younger sister.

When Renaud encountered Orion, The Tree powered up its intended host several times, and was present when Renaud transported himself and everyone else involved into the Astral Plane. While it sent calming feelings to Renaud, and a menacing feeling to Madeleine and Sabine, The Tree appeared to be "screaming" at Orion, and attempted to hide itself to get him to leave it alone.

This plan didn't work, however, and The Tree soon found itself dead at his hand[1].

Powers & Abilities

  • Psionics:
    • As a Psionic Being, The Tree had a large amount of Psionic power, and was able to leverage this to manipulate beings to do its will.
  • Power Bestowal:
    • The Tree was capable of sharing its psionic power with others, slightly manifesting itself in reality whenever it did so.

Notes

  • The Tree was incapable of manifesting itself completely within reality without a host, hence its use of Renaud to do its bidding.
