Ambrosias is a Demon responsible for ruling and maintaining realm of Brécilien. He is also the creator of the Rift of Merddyn, and one of the beings responsible for first teaching humans on Earth-0 Magic.

Summary

As a natural-born Demon, Ambrosias was created at the beginning of The Spirit Realm, and has maintained his own realm within it for an untold amount of time.

In the ancient past, Ambrosias taught magic to certain early human communities.

Around the 6th Century, Ambrosias sired a son known as Merlinus Ambrosius, who would later go on to become a famous magician in King Arthur's court.

At some point, Ambrosias created the Rift of Merddyn, creating a link between his own realm of Brécilien and Earth. The motivation for this is unknown, as is the reason for Ambrosias's inaction on the matter of the rift being overtaken by another entity for its own purposes.

Powers & Abilities

  • Demon Physiology:
    • As a Demon, the White-Horned demon possesses a vast array of innate powers to help her perform her task of maintaining functions of the Spirit Realm, some of these include:
      • Absolute Immortality: As a demon, Ambrosias is a being primarily composed of an indestructible Soul that does not lose its memories and experiences after death, and is capable of acting without any physical form.
      • Shapeshifting: As a demon, Ambrosias does not have a given physical form, and therefore is capable of creating any physical form that she so desires if she wishes to.
      • Anima Manipulation: As a demon, Ambrosias is innately capable of manipulating the Anima of all Souls, using it to perform great feats with much less effort than a typical mortal would have to put in.
  • Precognition: As seen with his Half-Demon descendants, Ambrosias possesses some form of precognition, although the extent, source, and amount of control he has over this ability is unknown.
  • Magic:
    • Ambrosias is knowledgable in the Mystic Arts, and is capable of using magic.

Notes

  • As with all Demons, Ambrosias is technically a genderless being. However, as their preferred form is masculine in nature, he/him pronouns are used to describe him.
  • Unlike many other demons, Ambrosias's name does not originate in the Ars Goetia, and is instead a corruption of Ambrosius, part of the name used to refer to Merlin within Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae.
  • As Ambrosias is a character who has not appeared yet on the current iteration of the board, information about him is subject to change.
