The Prydwen Family is a Brythonic family that traces its lineage back to Merlin. Being entirely formed of Magicians, the family has a proud Magic tradition, as well as an ancient duty to guard the Rift of Merddyn, with each family head inheriting the role of the Guardian.
Summary
The Prydwen Family was founded either one or two generations after Merlin, being created as part of a covenant to protect the rest of the world from that which lives on the other side of the Rift of Merddynn. At some point, they maintained close relations with the Hydes, with modern Prydwens being descended from a very distant relative of the modern Hydes.
There are very few members of the Prydwen family left in the modern era, with the only confirmed blood members being Ceridwen Prydwen and her uncle, Rhion Prydwen.
The previous head of the Prydwen Family before Ceridwen was her mother, Eirwen Prydwen[1], who Ceridwen killed and succeeded when she eventually succumbed to her Demonic heritage[2].
The Prydwens have often held Conclaves, with both Eirwen and Ceridwen holding them during their tenures as Guardians[1].

- Members of the Prydwen family through blood possess Demonic heritage, making them Half-Demons, allowing them to activate their demonic half through ritual, this ritual is not always successful, however.
