The Hoyokazi Family is a Japanese family and clan that traces its roots back to the Yamato Period. Having traditionally made a name for themselves in the field of information, the family is among the richest and most powerful groups of people on modern day Earth-0.
Summary
The Hoyokazi Clan was founded by a man named Hoyokazi in the Yamato Period.
Hiyuki Hoyokazi is the current leader of the Hoyokazi Clan, having succeeded her mother after she was expelled [1]. Despite her position, Hiyuki does not have absolute control over her family, and instead has to handle various factions within the extended family, all of which seek to achieve their own goals[2][3].
There are several traditional heirlooms passed down by the Hoyokazi Family, included the sword of Hoyokazi himself, which is currently wielded by Kaiyo Hoyokazi, the twin sister of Hiyuki[1].
Ryozo Hoyokazi is a member of the Hoyokazi family[1] through his mother's side[3].
Members of the Grayson Family harbor poor views of the Hoyokazi family due to the actions of Katsumi Hoyokazi in the past[4].

Notes
- Despite what some might think, the majority of the Hoyokazis are not evil, and are in fact just people trying to live their lives.
- Part of this reputation stems from their history as information brokers, leading to many using their services but never truly trusting them.
- Succession of the head of the Hoyokazi Clan is handled through election by family members, in a method similar to the ancient Gaelic system of Tanistry.
- Despite this, succession traditionally passes down from parent to child, or sibling to sibling in cases where there is no suitable child, and has traditionally followed the male line until very recently.
- The Hoyokazi Family is traditionally associated with the Owl School of Chi Practitioners, with many heads of the school being members of the Hoyokazi Family.
- The current head of the Owl School is Kaiyo Hoyokazi, a member of the family.
