Time is a product of the Time IsoMatrix, and one of the governing forces of the Multiverse.
Description
Time is a natural force and concept, created and governed by the Time IsoMatrix. As one of the fundamental forces of the Multiverse, Time assists in the collective stabilisation of existence, making it capable of distorting and manipulating it to various degrees. However, despite what some might assume, this does not mean that Time is bound by what we perceive as reality.
The exact rules of how time works vary from location to location, dependent on how it interacts with the other parts of the rules of the location. Despite this variation, however, Time has a universal set of rules, meaning that someone who understands how time works within the rules of one location will have at least some understanding of how it works within another location.
Unlike other forces, Time has no given single location that is accessible (such as the Sanctums or Astral Plane), although planes of raw Time may exist.
"time" vs "Time"
This article refers to the concept of "Time" (always capitalised), and also at several points refers to the concept of "time" (not always capitalised), while these are technically referring to the same general idea, they differ in key ways.
- "Time" is the multiversal force that is generated by the Time IsoMatrix, as something that is fundamental to the multiverse itself, most beings are subject to it, with the majority of the exceptions being entirely static and unchanging in their nature. No being within the multiverse currently is entirely "above Time", with a select group of exceptions.
- "time" is an individual's perception of "Time", this is what most people will commonly understand time as, the passing of days, weeks, months, and years, within a person's life are an example of "time", the rate at which "time" can pass can vary per person, from passing by incredibly quickly to appearing to be completely stopped for them, but this does not mean the flow of time for the Multiverse itself has changed.
