The eldest daughter of a decorated soldier and a member of embassy staff, Rowena hails from Scotland, but spent most of her early life living in [[wikipedia: Washington, D.C.|Washington, D.C]].

This early degenerative condition affected the development of her body, however, leading to effects such as her being unable to produce pigment cells for her hair, leaving her with white hair her entire life.
