== Summary ==
Established shortly after the fall of the Western Roman Empire by [[:en:Gauls|Gallic]] landowners and [[Magicians|mages]], the Beaufort family rose to prominence in [[:en:Early_Middle_Ages|early medieval Europe]]. Known for producing skilled magicians, as well as ambassadors for the magical community, they became well respected amongst their peers.
