Kaiyo Hoyokazi, or 保養火事開陽, (born March 12 1995), is the twin sister of Hiyuki Hoyokazi and current head of the Owl School.

Summary

Kaiyo is the twin sister of Hiyuki Hoyokazi, and the daughter of Katsumi Hoyokazi. As the younger twin, she was raised to act as a loyal bodyguard for her sister and trained in art of Chi by the Owl School to act as the next successor to the school. Since her early teens, Kaiyo has been mute. During Hiyuki's campaign to succeed her mother, Kaiyo publicly supported her sister while dealing with some rogue elements behind the scenes.

When Ryozo Hoyokazi attacked Aiden Grayson, Kaiyo informed Hiyuki of the situation.

In response to Ryozo's next attack, Hiyuki had Kaiyo intervene and neutralise the would-be assassin to maintain peace and Hiyuki's power over the Hoyokazi family. Bringing him to an abandoned warehouse in the city, Kaiyo was present when Hiyuki reminded him of the methodology of the family, and provided extra pressure to Hiyuki's point of what would happen to Ryozo if he did not follow Hiyuki's orders. She was present when Hiyuki gave a personal apology to Aiden for Ryozo's conduct, and was present when Hiyuki received an encrypted thumb drive from Mosaic.

Kaiyo escorted Aiden up to Hiyuki's office when he met Hiyuki for personal business, deriving some personal amusement from some of Hiyuki's comments before leaving for her own business.

• Kaiyo's personal name, 開陽, is made up of the characters 開, meaning "open, start, begin", and 陽, meaning "sun, sunlight, positive, daytime".
